After almost two years of a fruitful cooperation Katarzyna Dziemianowicz has decided to leave ALHENA. We really want to say thank you to Kasia for her time and participation in band’s musical achievements. At the same time we wish her much success in both artistic and personal life!

So we do not have a vocalist at the moment… Thus, we announce that we are about to start looking for a worthy successor on this post!

We are searching for a passionate, musical, creative, available person (the rehearsals take place in the centre of Bydgoszcz). Our future vocalist should feel rock, metal and around-progressive climates, be able to catch up with up-to-now material (for the planned concerts), but also be ready for experiments. Experience is welcome, however, we are not going to discriminate young, talented vocalists who just take up their first steps on the stage.

Interested female vocalists are welcome to contact us in order to get invited for the audition.

From today our EP is available on a classic, “tangible” CD. It can be purchased for as little as 10 PLN (it’s about $3 or ?2.5) plusdelivery costs (according to Polish Post Office’s tarrifs).

Because of the fact that is not of an LP kind, the CD has been released in an economic, but still a very aesthetic, hard, cardboard envelope, this enabled us to obtain such a low price for you.

On 11.11.11 the first foreign review of Alhena’s EP appeared on ProgVision service.

KEEP IT UP!

First two reviews of our EP have appeared on the net. You can find one on the RIVER’S EGDE, website and the other in the ROCKELLA service.

We want to thank the reviews’ authors for their support and we invite you to read them.

September 13th, 2011 was the day of a world premiere of the debut album by Xanadu. That was the occasion for a concert in Lizard King club in Torun promoting the album.

ALHENA was invited to participate in this event by opening it. We want to thank the host for giving us such an opportunity.

The recording session that we started in the beginning of July was finished on September 7th, 2011.

The recording took place in MG Studio in Bydgoszcz. The person in charge of the material’s accomplishment, its mixing and mastering was Marcin Grzella. We want to thank him very much for his work, commitment and patience.

The results of our work can be heard right here. We are inviting everyone to listen to the records and to share your opinion with us.

The recording is the material for our first EP which will soon be available also in a classical ?material” form.

For the time being, the priority of ALHENA is to have material for the first long-playing CD ready.

The performance took place on September 30th, 2011 on the Old Market Square in Bydgoszcz. It was a part of the “European Artistic Summer 2011” festival.

We want to say thanks to Upside Down group for playing with us and to the City Culture Centre and the Youth Palace in Bydgoszczfor organizing the event and technical support. We also thank all the viewers, their number was a nice surprice to us!

The beginning of January 2010. The band ALHENA comes into being with the following members: Tomasz Bogulski (guit), Piotr Kowalski (synth), Piotr Grugel (dr), Robert Puk (bass). They start working on the material and looking for a vocalist.

In the summer of 2010 Robert leaves the band. After a short time his place is taken by Tadeusz Kołecki. Then, on 17 September 2010 Katarzyna Dziemianowicz becomes the band’s vocalist. Ranks of the band is complete!
