The French group World of Glass Promotions has finalized the third edition of the compilation called “World of Glass“.

Let us remind that it is a free, four discs’ compilation, the name of which, not without the reason, refers to the cult album of the band Tristania. At the third volume, as many as sixty female-fronted metal bands from all over the world appeared, e.g. To-Mera, Sin7sins, Mytology and, of course, Alhena.

Thanks to Tony Clifton Art Agency, we will take part in the first edition of the periodic event called ‘Tony Clifton Presents‘. It will be our first gig after a long, 9-months’ break, which was caused by castling in Alhena’s ranks, and at the same time the first gig with a new line-up!

We will give a performance with such bands as Protoplasta (ex. ISME), Fain and Second Chance. It is going to be a piece of good play, therefore we invite you on June 8th to the Estrada club in Bydgoszcz! We guarantee that for sure it will not be a waste of time!!!! 🙂

After numerous difficulties resulting in quite big delays, “Des Filles et des Riffs vol. 3“. compilation is finally coming out. The list of tracks and their performers can be found >HERE<. At the same place you can also order the CD directly from its makers. Soon, through the medium of Season of Mist, the compilation will be available in shops all over the Word!

Let us remind that “Des Filles et des Riffs“a compilation consisting of 2 CDs made periodically by the French music service under the same name. A label Savage Prod. is responsible for the compilation’s release, while Season of Mist for its world distribution. The aim of the undertaking is promoting rock bands with female vocal from all over the world. On the third release you can also find Alhena, next to such performers as Epica, Arkona, Nemesea, Leave?s Eyes or Stream of Passion.

We are officially announce that after long search, innumerable auditions attempts to find the necessary agreement in music and in personal contact, our search of the missing link has been ended! The new member of the band Alhena is Grzegorz Ostrowski, a student of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.

Grzegorz came to met us some time ago and we finally decided to cooperate permanently.

We want to say thanks to Tadeusz for his time and participation in band’s achievements and we wish him much success!

In view of the completion of our ranks, we are RETURNING TO THE GAME! Literally and figuratively! So follow our nearest actions!

“Sampler” is a compilation released with the initiative of the Polish label Halotan Records. Previous CDs were mainly concentrated on the climates of electro, goth, etc. However, in its newest, fifth edition the authors decided to place more guitar-sounds. ALHENA is one of the bands invited to cooperate. For that we want to say thank you to Andrzej Korowiov and Alkor XIII.

“Sampler” is distributed in two versions: free one, to be legally downloaded from the label’s website and – for conesseurs of tangible versions – CDs which are available in the Halotan Record‘s shops at a very attractive price.

As the publishing house’s initiative is of a promotional character, we would like to ask you to distribute the links to the songs as widely as possible!

On the World of Glass Promotion website a complete tracklist of songs that will constitute “World of Glass vol. 3” appeared.

Let us remind that this is a free publishing house which came into being with the initiative of the French publishing house called World of Glass Promotion. Its goal is to promote rock and metal bands. There are 60 songs on the CD, 15 on each of 4 CDs. The songs of ALHENA appeared as the first one on the fourth CD.

Due to the personal changes, which has happened in our band, we want to inform that ALHENA IS LOOKING FOR A BASSIST!

We are searching for a discretionary person who loves music, who can work in the teamwork, and who can get involved in the project.

To encourage you we want to let in on that we have our LP material completed, big (and real) plans related to recording and publishing our material, and also plans related to the concerts!

People who are interested in the collaboration and who are able to do the material, please contact us.

From the beginning of our activity we have contacted you via profiles on social services, such as MySpace or Facebook. Both profiles served their purpose excellent, but let’s say: “How long could it be that way?”… 😉

That is why we have pleasure to announce that our Official Website is now ready! From now on it is going to be the main source of information concerning our activity. That is why we encourage everyone to use it as often as possible. Of course, our other profiles will not disappear. However, they will be of secondary importance to us.

The engine of the website came into being rather long time ago (we want to thank Mirek Kolczyński, the author, for a good job he did), but it was filled in with info in free time, which we do mot much. That made its official coming into being late. The website is still being made better, more comprehensive and full, however, we decided that it is good enough to be presented to you. All the suggestions, propositions or noticed mistakes are asked to be submitted in CONTACT section.

We have two news for you, a good one and… a good one! 😉

Firstly, we were invited to participate in “Des filles et des riffs, vol.3“, compilation, organised by french Des filles et des riffs. We started talking about the participation somewhere at the beginning of this year, but now the conversation is done and our partake is confirmed at all!

Des filles et des riffs’s attitude is to promote rock and metal female-fronted bands. On the previous CDs there were bands such as: Tristania, Eths, To-Mera, Diablo Swing Orchestra and many more. On the thirth compilation Alhena will be placed with the bands like for instance Arkona, Stream of Passion, Leaves’ Eyes, Nemesea, and Epica! The full list of bands is here.

The compilation will be released under the label SAVAGE PROD in November 2012 and the well-known label SEASON OF MISTwill be the world distributor of this compilation!

And the second good news is we were invited to take part in another, also french compilation called “World of Glass“, which also promotes rock and metal female-fronted bands. It will be the thirth edition of this compilation (without special releases). This collection will be free, legally available on the organisers’ website.
