On our MySpace and Facebook profiles there are two well-known tracks from our EP, Trial and Better but sang by our current vocalist, Natalia. Both songs were recorded and mastered by Marcin Grzella.

Follow: At the beginning, we?d like to say thank you to everyone interested in our contest which took part in it! We are very glad that the contest was so much interest. We have received a lot of feedbacks from you. Unfortunately, some of them were incorrect or uncompleted, and we?d like to recall that one of the conditions of eligibility was the correct answer to all three contest?s questions!
The correct answers are shown below.
1. Name at least one band in which present members of Alhena took part before (at least one name for each member)?
The band ALHENA counts five members. Therefore, to pass this question, each of us had to be assigned to at least one band. For example:
? Natalia Bassak ? Mindwhisper;
? Tomasz Bogulski ? Xanadu;
? Piotr Kowalski ? Sellisternium;
? Piotr Grugel ? Sellisternium;
? Tadeusz Kołecki ? Variéte.
These variants of answers are those which most easily found on the web (due to the recent and long commitment to these persons in these particular projects). However, if someone gave us another, but correct example (eg, Time of Silence in the case of Tomasz, and these answer also appear), the answer has been passed by as.
2. How many instrumental compositions and how many songs sung by Natalia are there on our EP?
This question was the most difficult, because it contains a small ?trap?, in which some of you have fallen! … 😉
On the EP there was obviously one instrumental track (Nemesis). Whereas songs sung by Natalia – zero! And only such an answer is correct and passed by us!… Songs on the album were sung by the previous vocalist, Katarzyna Dziemianowicz. Natalia took the vocalist?s place in a band ALHENA half a year later. 🙂
3. The name of the star ALHENA (from which the band’s name comes) derives from Arab ALHAN’A. In astronomy another, older name of the star existed (which also derives from Arab language). Give this name as well as the meaning of both words.
Contrary to appearances (although we admit that on purpose), this question was probably the easiest of the whole quiz, because the Internet is actually full of information on this topic. 😉
The oldest name of this star is AL-MAISAN and literally translated from Arabic means The Proudly Marching One (or ? from another dialect ? The Shining One ? we have passed both answers).
Meanwhile AL-HAN?A can be translated as The Brand on the neck of the camel (or would be The brand-mark burnt on the right side of the neck of a camel etc).
Award as the last copy of our EP receives Andrzej ?AndyS? Szućko from Nowogard. CONGRATULATIONS! 🙂
A small surprise for all other participants in our fun – to leave you all good memories, we announce that to all who took part in our competition, we have a consolation prize! We hope that you will enjoy them and put a smile on your face! 😉 It was worth it to spend a few moments with the web search! 😉 Thus, once again we want to say thanks to all participants for their interest and participation in our competition!

Since we have only one EP left, we decided to give it as a prize to the winner of a quiz that we have prepared for you.
The quiz consists of three questions. Two of them are quite easy, and one a little more difficult. However, those who can read 😉 and search the Net shouldn’t find it too hard to answer.
The EP will go to one person who will give correct answers to the following questions:

We’d like to inform you that from today our mini-album is no longer available in a tanglible form of a CD! We have sold out everything! We have just ONE EP LEFT, but it will go to the one of you who will win a competition that we will soon announce… 😉
The EP was a kind of a door opening to the world. It let us appear for you. It was a kind of an introduction to a planned LP and it fulfilled its task exellently. We did not plan to re-edit it, however, your interest has surprised us very nicely and maybe it is worth to consider its re-edition?…
Considering that, we are announcing the following action: If we find 100 people interested in pre-ordering the EP (with pre-payment of 10 PLN, which is about $3 or ?2.5 plus shipping) till 31st August 2012, we will make more copies. Those who are interested are asked to contact us!
The emotions after our last concert have dropped. We want to say thank you to the team of the radio, especially to Adam Droździk for the invitation and carrying on the whole event and to Mirek Worobiej for its realisation!
We also say thank you to all the audience! YOU FILLED THE WHOLE STUDIO, which doesn’t happen very often! THANX! We don’t exist without you!
We thank as well the radio receivers. We have information that there were many of them.
The concert will soon appear on the podcasts of the PiK radio’s webpages, which will enable those who missed the event to catch up on it. 😉
Follow: On 15 June 2012 (friday) at 7 p.m. (UTC+2:00) we are playing a concert in Radio PiK’s concert studio. This gig is for free but the number of seats is limited, so we encourage you to book them here. Radio PiK is placed at 48-50 Gdańska Street in Bydgoszcz.
We want to inform all the people who can’t be there with us that our concert will be broadcast live on the air (Radio PiK is on 100,1 MHz) and via the Internet here, here and here.

The new vocalist is Natalia “Natt” Bassak, whose voice convinced us very quickly. Therefore, we continue working on the LP and preparing for upcoming gigs (details soon).
